I am Maria Guarda, a Part 1 Architect and a graduate from the Leicester School of Architecture. It was here that I developed a humanistic approach to architectural design, in which human wellbeing must be prioritised within all three pillar of sustainability: environmental, social and economical.
With all these aspects in mind, the push for a circular economy is one which I am eager to be part of. In order to achieve the solutions to these modern day problems, confidence to push boundaries and try new methods is essential.
As a graduate looking for work experience, I am keen on improving my practical and professional skills.
Experience at Imodisegno in Leiria, Portugal where I gained valuable experience by being faced with a different cultural approach to architecture. This did not only enrich my knowledge but widen my design horizons. Here I understood the more legal side of architectural design.
